Online Booking: Terms and conditions for Birkhede Camping


Terms and conditions

Here you will find useful information concerning the use of online booking. You can read about how we treat your personal information when using online booking, how you will recieve a receipt for your purchase and much more. We use BIRKHEDE as a synonym for Birkhede Camping.

Payment
All prices in online booking are written in danish kroner with sales tax included unless stated otherwise.

Payment is made by using one of the approved credit cards in online booking, including Dankort, Visa, and Mastercard/Eurocard among others.

There are no extra charges included when using online booking.

Shipping and delivery
When you book a cabin, luxury cabin, luxury tent or a unit for a camper or tent you will see a contract with the billing information and purchase information on the screen at the end of the booking process. This contract can be printed out from the homepage. If you supply a valid e-mail address you will also receive an e-mail with this information.

Delivery of the product which you have booked online happens when you arrive in BIRKHEDE on the day of arrival (and ends on the departure date). Both of these dates are written in the contact mentioned above.

Cancellation and money back
You have the option to cancel your booking on the following terms:
Until you have made the first payment or paid the full price, the lease is not valid for either party. If you cancel within 24 hours of ordering and full or partial payment has been made, the full amount minus handling fee and any transaction costs will be refunded. Otherwise, the following applies.

Rental units
Immediately upon booking, 50% of the total rental amount plus any booking fee is paid. (= 1st installment). One month before the start of the rental period, the rest of the total amount is paid. (= 2nd installment)

If canceled more than 30 days before the start of the rental period, the 1st installment minus a deducted fee of DKK 1,000, - plus any. booking fee will be refunded. If the 1st installment is less than DKK 1,000, the amount will not be refunded.
If canceled less than 30 days before the start of the rental period, the 1st installment will not be refunded.
If canceled less than 14 days before the start of the rental period, the any amount paid will not be refunded.

Any compensation must be made via own insurance.

If you have started your holiday at BIRKHEDE, the booked period is binding, and you can not get money back on departure before the booking expires and it can not be transferred to others.

Bringing your own caravan / tent / motorhome / Autocamper
Immediately upon booking, 50% of the total rental amount plus any booking fee is paid. (= 1st installment). One month before the start of the rental period, the rest of the total amount is paid. (= 2nd installment)

If canceled more than 30 days before the start of the rental period, the 1st installment minus a fee of DKK 500, - plus any. booking fee will be refunded
If canceled less than 30 days before the start of the rental period, the 1st installment will not be refunded.
If canceled less than 48 hours before the start of the rental period, the deposit will not be refunded.

Any compensation must be made via own insurance.

Force Majeure
The customer is not released from payment of the rent if the customer due to personal circumstances or force majeure (war, strike, natural disasters, epidemic, closure of borders and the like) is prevented from exercising the right of use that the customer has under the lease

Privacy and handling of personal information
BIRKHEDE register your name, address, e-mail address and other information given when booking online. This information is kept in our customer database. The information is not given to a third party but the registration is kept within BIRKHEDE for 5 years.

BIRKHEDE uses server side cookies and a secure connection to secure the information you give when using online booking.

Payment with a creditcard happens on a secure server where the information i encrypted before being sent over the internet.

Contact information
If you for some reason do not receive your contract which confirms your purchase, and do not get any errors from the online booking system then please contact us using the information below.

Complaint concerning the booking process or the received product must happen within a reasonable time after you have seen the mistake or should have seen the mistake by looking through your contract. You can complain either by letter or by phone. Your right to complain expire after 1 year from the date receiving your product in accordance to Købelovens §83, stk. 1.

When BIRKHEDE receives a complaint about a product the complaint will be dealt with as soon as posible. BIRKHEDE will evaluate wether or not to refund the full amount or to compensate.
